What is Stuart Zender's Net Worth?

Stuart Zender is an English bassist, songwriter and record producer who has a net worth of $20 million. Born March 18, 1974 in Sheffield, England, he is best known as the bass player for British funk and acid band Jamiroquai. Known at a young age for his musical talent, Zender left home at the age of 17 (after being expelled from high school) with the money his mother gave him and went straight to a music store and bought a Warwick Streamer bass guitar, which cost him almost the entire amount of money his mother had given him. Zender joined the band Jamiroquai in 1993 where he grew as a songwriter, co-writing and producing on their first three albums: Emergency on Planet Earth, The Return of the Space Cowboy and Travelling Without Moving. Travelling Without Money has been cited by the Guinness World Records as the best-selling funk album of all time and has sold around 11.5 million records (worldwide) to date.

During the recording of Jamiroquai, Zender left the band (1998) due to conflicts with lead singer Jay Kay. Zender's explanation for the split was that he felt he and the other band members were not fairly credited for their contributions to songwriting and producing. Zender also wanted to spend more time with his blossoming family. Zender has since worked on other projects such as ventures with other artists: Lauryn Hill, Omar, D'Angelo and Stevie Wonder to name a few. He went of to start his own record label, White Buffalo Recordings, and began work on his own solo album.
