What is Ciputra's Net Worth?

Ciputra is an Indonesian real estate tycoon who has a net worth of $1.5 billion. Born in 1931, he made his fortune as an owner of the Ciputra Group, a real estate development company. A graduate of Bandung Institute of technology who also received an honorary doctorate of University Tarumanagara in 2008, Ciputra has established several companies before he reached the peak with his Ciputra Group, including PT Pembangunan Jaya in 1961, and PT Metropolitan Development Tbk in 1971, and he still serves as the Chairman of these two companies.

In 1981, Cuputra launched his eminent Cipitra Group, which is now one of the major diversified property development companies in Indonesia. Moreover, he has plans to double Singapore's Orchard Road in Jalan Satrio, where recently his company opened 123,000 square-meters huge blend of apartments, malls and offices. Cuputra is also well-known for his philanthropic works, having stared numerous non-profit foundations dedicated to art, sport, education and disaster relief.
