What is Bryan Baeumler's Net Worth and Salary?

Brian Baeumler is a Canadian entrepreneur and TV star who has a net worth of $20 million. That is a combination with his wife and frequent co-star, Sarah Beaumler. Bryan Baeumler was initially interested in pursuing a career in law but had always been drawn to construction and engineering and ultimately decided to focus his energies there. He ran an air cargo business in Canada from the mid-90s through the early 2000s and then began working as a host and presenter for HGTV/HGTV Canada. He has served as host for a number of popular construction shows, including "Disaster DIY," "Disaster DIY: Cottage Edition," "Leave It to Bryan," and "House of Bryan." "House of Bryan," which followed him and his wife Sarah Beaumler as he built his family a new home, was especially popular and became the highest-rated series in HGTV Canada's history. He won a Gemini Award for his hosting work on HGTV and is currently the CEO of his own company, Baeumler Quality Construction and Renovations Inc. In September 2019, Bryan launched a campaign to raise money to support the victims of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. He and his wife had to be evacuated from the Bahamas before the storm. They were living there while restoring a property.

Early Life

Baeumler was born on April 18, 1974, in Oakville, Canada. His father worked as an aircraft engineer, and Baeumler learned many of his skills by watching his father work. He spent his childhood summers helping construct the family's cottage. By the age of 14, he had already opened his own handyman business doing various odd jobs for neighbors. After finishing high school, he enrolled at the University of Western Ontario in 1992. In 1996, he received his B.A. in Political Science and Business.

Career

Before finishing college, Baeumler had already begun working at an air cargo business. He ran the business until 2003. He then transitioned into working as a builder before founding his own construction company called Baeumler Quality Construction and Renovations Inc., of which he became the president and CEO.

His success in construction and renovation caught the eye of HGTV Canada, who was looking to cast a new show called "Disaster DIY." The show focuses on individuals who had attempted home renovations on their own and failed. Baeumler was cast as the host of the show, which was set in the Greater Toronto Area. He remained on the show from 2007 until 2011. In 2008, he won the Gemini Award for "Best Host in a Lifestyle/Practical Information, or Performing Arts Program or Series" for his work on "Disaster DIY."

His success on the show led to growing name recognition. HGTV created a new show for Baeumler called "House of Bryan." The show focuses on his family and his apprentice, Adam, and follows the group as they construct various homes. The series was very popular, becoming the highest-rated series on HGTV Canada. It remained on air from 2010 until 2015. The show was then replaced by a new show called "Bryan Inc," which premiered in the Fall of 2016. The show focuses on Baeumler and his wife buying and renovating properties before selling them for a profit. It remained on the air until 2018 and then went on hiatus.

In 2011, Baeumler launched a website called Baeumler Approved. The website connects homeowners with various home renovation and repair services throughout Canada. The website was a success and eventually also inspired the launch of a peer-to-peer mobile app that connects homeowners with service providers in 2018. In 2015, he also published a book called "Measure Twice: Tips and Tricks from the Pros to Help You Avoid the Most Common DIY Disasters."

Meanwhile, Baeumler also began hosting another show called "Leave It to Bryan." The show focuses on Baeumler as he works with homeowners who desire various home renovations and helps them decide which renovations are most necessary. The show remained on air from 2012 until 2017.

In 2017, Baeumler and his wife, Sarah, made the decision to buy an abandoned beachfront resort in South Andros, Bahamas. They set about renovating the resort, which became the premise of a new HGTV show called "The Island of Bryan." Because of the remote location of the island, supplies for the renovation only came once every one or two weeks, which made the renovation particularly tricky. The family also lived on the island throughout the renovation, and their children were homeschooled and later sent to various schools in the Bahamas. The family remained on the island until the resort they renovated, Caerula Mar Club, officially opened in December of 2019. The show aired on HGTV in Canada in 2019 and then was repackaged as "Renovation Island" for American audiences in 2020.

Following the conclusion of "Island of Bryan," Baeumler worked with HGTV to develop a new show. The resulting concept is "Renovation Resort." The show premieres in Canada in 2023 and focuses on Scott McGillivray, a Canadian celebrity who purchases a lakeside resort and enlists Baeumler to help renovate it. The show also incorporates a competition element, as there are numerous teams of contractors working to renovate various cabins on the lake.

Due to his celebrity status in Canada, Baeumler has also made a number of guest appearances on other shows like "Canada's Handyman Challenge" where he appeared as a judge. He also appeared as a judge on "Deck Wars" and was a guest builder on the show "Home to Win."

Personal Life

Baeumler met his future wife, Sarah, when he was in high school, although the two had not begun dating at the time. It wasn't until a mutual friend reconnected them around ten years later that they began a relationship. They married in 2004 and have had four children: Quintyn, Charlotte, Lincoln, and Josephine. All of the children have made appearances on television in the various shows that their parents have been featured on.
